UK and Ireland added to Trump travel ban

American Airlines

The UK and Ireland are to be added to the travel ban set by US President Trump according to US news sources.

The move will exempt US Citizens and Green Card Holders but if they are travelling from Europe to the US they will have to fly into one of the nominated airports and screened on arrival.

Currently, all travel between Mainland Europe (The Schengen Area) to the US has been banned in order to prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The new travel restrictions will come into force on Monday.
