Ryanair bets big on Greece

Irish budget airline Ryanair (FR/RYR) is backing Greece as the go to destination this summer for Brits looking for sun.

The airline, whose traditional hunting ground is Portugal, Spain and Central Europe, is ramping up flights to Greece from several UK airports.

Ryanair is introducing new flights to Santorini, Kos and Corfu from Manchester, Liverpool and Teesside respectively as well as increasing frequencies on flights to Chania (3 times per week) and Rhodes (4 times per week )from Manchester and will fly 6 times per week from Stansted to Rhodes.

Ryanair’s Director of Commercial, Jason McGuinness, said:  “As vaccination rollout programmes continue in the coming months, air traffic is set to soar and we are delighted to announce three new routes and extra flights connecting the UK to a host of popular Greek destinations this summer. 

Mindful that Covid restrictions change regularly, customers can now book flights for a well-deserved break knowing that if they need to postpone or change their travel dates, they can do so up to two times with a zero change fee until the end of October 2021.
