RAeS appoints new chief executive

The Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) has appointed David Edwards as its new chief executive replacing Sir Brian Sturridge who is stepping down from the role.

Mr Edwards was Chief Executive of the Air Charter Association and led that organisation through a significant period of change and has also been vice-president of Qatar Airways.

He has been a mameber of the RAeS since 1999 and was made a fellow in 2010 having held a pilots licence since he was 17.

Mr Edwards begins his tenure on the 20th September 2021.
