Primera Air cancels Birmingham to Boston launch

Primera Air increases Max9 order to 10

Danish low-cost carrier Primera Air has cancelled its planned launch of its Birmingham to Boston flights.

The planned 3 times per week service from Birmingham Airport (BHX/EGBB) to Boston (BOS/KBOS) was due to begin on 22nd June 2018.

The transatlantic route would have been operated by an Airbus A321neo.

Birmingham Airport had enjoyed a direct connection to the US east coast for 20 years until United Airlines ended their Birmingham to Newark (EWR/KEWR) service last year.

No explanation has been given for the cancellation by the airline which is also planning to commence flights to New York & Toronto as well as European destinations this year.
