Loganair (LM/LOG) has announced the appointment of Scott Cunningham as its new Chief Financial Officer, bringing more than 25 years of financial and leadership experience to the UK’s largest regional airline.
Cunningham joins the airline following a distinguished career spanning a number of international businesses. He has held senior roles within the Clyde Blowers portfolio, served as CFO of InterBulk Group plc during a period of global expansion and acquisitions, and most recently played a key role in guiding Iomart Group plc through strategic growth, multiple acquisitions, and the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2022 energy crisis.
A Chartered Accountant and long-standing member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland since 1995, Cunningham is recognised for his expertise in financial strategy, corporate governance, and business transformation.
Speaking on his appointment, Cunningham said: “I am delighted to be joining Loganair as Chief Financial Officer. Throughout my career, I have supported growth and transformation across a variety of businesses. Loganair is unique and plays a critical role in providing vital air links for communities across the UK and beyond. I’m looking forward to working with Luke and the team and to playing my part in delivering further success for the airline.”
Luke Farajallah, Chief Executive Officer of Loganair, added: “We are very pleased to have secured Scott as our incoming Chief Financial Officer. After an extensive and high-calibre search, we decided that Scott’s extensive experience leading international and private equity-backed businesses would be invaluable as we continue to deliver our strategy. We’re delighted to welcome him to the executive team and look forward to him joining over the summer.”
The appointment comes as Loganair continues to strengthen its leadership team ahead of its 65th anniversary in 2027. The airline currently operates a fleet of almost 40 aircraft and employs around 1,000 staff, maintaining its position as the UK’s leading regional carrier.
According to the UK Civil Aviation Authority, Loganair was the most punctual major airline for UK arrivals and departures between January and September 2025, with 81% of flights operating on time—well above the industry average of 72%.
