Lufthansa’s new service from Liverpool (LPL/EGPP) to Frankfurt will open up a wealth of destinations from the Merseyside airport allowing almost global travel with just 1-stop

The four-flights-per-week service launches in May and will see travellers from the Mersey region able to take advantage of single-booking flights from Liverpool to destinations such as South Africa, Japan, South America, The Caribbean and the United States.

Chief Executive of Liverpool Airport John Irving said the flight was great news for those wishing to fly Long-Haul from Liverpool airport including a business class offering for the first time from Liverpool airport.

Lufthansa says that it chose Liverpool for its latest UK airport because it is “an interesting city with its mixture of sport and culture”.

Lufthansa flights from Liverpool commence on 2nd May 2022.
