Easyjet launches first of four new routes from Southend

Easyjet new routes to France

Low-cost carrier Easyjet has launched the first of its four new routes from London Southend.

The flight to Bordeaux, France which took off yesterday afternoon is the first of four to launch this summer and will also see a new aircraft at the base.

The Bordeaux flight will operate 3 times per week and Easyjet expects to carry around 30,000 passengers on the service over the summer.

The airline will also launch new routes to Prague, Pula and Dubrovnik later in the summer boosting Easyjets passenger figures from and to Southend to over one million per year and bringing the total number of destinations served from Southend by Easyjet to 20.
