Dublin-based CDB places 11th A321neo with Wizz Air

Dublin-based lessor CDB Aviation has completed the delivery of its 11th A321neo leased to low-cost carrier Wizz Air.

CDB Aviation, the dedicated aircraft leasing platform of China Development Bank, completed the lease of the Airbus A321-271NX to Wizz Air today increasing its presence in the European market.

The lessor has 251 aircraft in its fleet which includes single-aisle Airbus A320 family aircraft (46 CEO 59 NEO) and widebody, A330 (32 CEO and 5 NEO) and 3 A350 family aircraft.

It also leases 50 Boeing 737NG, 32 787 and a sole 777.

The China-owned company is a big customer of all three top manufacturers with 81 Airbus A321neo, 36 Boeing 737 Max and 20 Embraer E190 aircraft on order.

It also aims to enter the freighter market with 14 Airbus A330 P2F (Passenger to Freighter) conversions due to take place on aircraft in its fleet.
