Air Canada has said that it will be restarting its direct Manchester to Toronto service from the 1st of June.

The flight will operate five times per week leaving Manchester Airport (MAN/EGCC) at 12:15 and arriving in Toronto at 14:55 (local times) and will be operated by an Airbus A330.

Stephen Gerrard, Air Canada general manager of sales UK and Ireland described the move as “exciting times” adding: “Our non-stop flight between Manchester and Toronto will provide our customers in the northwest of England with a direct link to Canada and beyond. We look forward to welcoming our customers back on board.”

Manchester airport’s interim managing director Ian Costigan said: “The service to Toronto is fantastic news for companies large and small across the north who do business with Canada, and also for tourism and those visiting friends and family. It is also great to see the carrier return with its mainline service, offering a high-quality product with both business and premium economy classes.”

Passengers using the service will be able to connect to Air Canada’s network across Canada and to 46 US airports.
