Bristol Airport reports busiest ever year

Bristol Airport (BRS/EGGD) has reported 2017 as its busiest ever year with passenger figures topping 8.1m.

The South West regional airport saw an increase of over 600,000 passengers compared to 2016  which equates to an 8% increase over the year.

Bristol AIrport is England’s third largest regional airport and a base for Ryanair and Easyjet who both have introduced new routes from the airport.

A long-haul programme from holiday airline TUI Holidays also helped boost the numbers.

Thomas Cook, BMI Regional and KLM also saw passenger numbers rise on their services.
