Airbus’ latest intake of early careers talent, such as apprentices, graduates and interns, are preparing to start at their careers at the European OEMs wing manufacturing facility at Broughton, North Wales.
This latest draft includes 152 apprentices, 23 graduates and 70 interns who will all have access to an environment that encourages growth, innovation and collaboration from day one.
Airbus Broughton is the home of Airbus wings and manafacturers wingsets for all Airbus A3XX airlines from the A318 through to the A350. these then get distributed via Airbus’ Beluga and Beluga XL aircraft to final assembly lines across Europe, North America and Asia.
Gareth Davies, Airbus Head of Broughton Plant and Site, said: “Investing in young talent is about more than today’s workforce. It is about safeguarding the long-term future of Airbus and the wider UK aerospace sector.
“By nurturing our early careers cohorts, we are protecting the talent pipeline of manufacturing excellence and innovation that will keep our industry strong for decades to come. Having started my career as an apprentice I know how transformative these opportunities can be. Their fresh perspectives are vital to securing a sustainable and competitive future for us all.”
