European OEM Airbus has made a strong start to 2026 delivering 19 aircraft to 15 customers in Janurary and gained orders for 49 aircraft.
As usual, single-aisle aircraft dominated the deliveries with 15 A320neo family aircraft delivered, including 10 A321neos and five A320neos going to customers including Turkish Airlines, Wizz Air and Aer Lingus.
Three Airbus A220-300s were also delivered to Air France, Air Canada and Breeze Airways.
A sole wide body was delivered during the first month of the year which was an A350-900 United Airlines.
Single-aisle domination continued through to the orders too with 32 A320neos and 16 A321neos ordered by customers including Spring Airlines and International Airlines Group (IAG) which is the parent company of British Airways and Aer Lingus.
A further eight A321neos were ordered by undisclosed customers and Air Algérie ordered an Airbus A330-900 as the sole wide body sale during the month.
