Airbus has drawn a giant Christmas tree over Germany on a test flight of a new Airbus A380.

The flight from Airbus’ A380 assembly facility in Hamburg took at 12:47 and proceeded to draw out the Christmas tree which could be clearly seen by users of websites such as Flightradar24, Flightaware and Plane Finder.

The aircraft is an Airbus A380-800 registration F-WWAE which is destined for Airbus’ biggest A380 customer Emirates.

Airbus’ festive artwork isn’t the first time an aircraft has been used to entertain skywatchers. Earlier this year rival airframers Boeing used a test of a Boeing 787 to create a giant self-portrait over the skies of America.
