Welsh Airfield Sees Red Bull Barnstorming Epic Feat

Llanbedr Airfield in North Wales was the setting for a spectacular stunt by Red Bull Air Race and Red Bull Matadors Pilots Paul Bonhomme and Steve Jones.

The British pilots flew through a hangar on the airfield in formation at 180mph last week in the latest Red Bull stunt.

Bonhomme, who is also a 747-400 Captain has been flying with Jones for over 17 years and both compete in the Red Bull Air Race series. When speaking of the event Bonhomme said “ultimately, if we get it wrong, we hit a building!”

The aircraft, XtremeAir XA41, flew through the hangar at 180mph at just 1 metre off the ground.
