Ground Support Equipment (GSE) manufacturer, Newbow Aerospace has opened a new fabrication facility in the West Midlands.
The 4,000sq ft fabrication unit doubles the current production capacity and will allow Newbow to scale up production of GSE trailers and carts to meet the new airline contracts it won last year.
Those contracts include British Airways’ Line Maintenance operation at London Gatwick with will see Newbow deliver a number of trailers in support of the airline’s Airbus A320 and Boeing 777 fleet.
Newbow also signed a general trading agreement with Jet2, which will begin with the procurement of Newbow tyre inflation tooling and pressure gauges, and including service and calibration.
Marc Green, Sales Director, Newbow Aerospace, said: “It’s been another record year for Newbow and we expanded our market significantly during 2025 with UK and European customers, as well developing new opportunities in the Middle East, which we are excited about for this year.
“The opening of our third production facility, which is now fully operational, provides Newbow with significant extra bandwith to ramp up the manufactureof our service carts and trailers, for which we’re seeing high demand. The prospects for 2026 look very encouraging, in line with continuing growth for the aviation sector.”
To support the new facility, Newbow has recruited more welders and fabricators, adding significant skilled resource to its existing production capability.
