More airlines set to move to Manchester Airports new look T2

Five more airlines are set to move to Manchester Airport’s (MAN/EGCC) newly revamped Terminal 2 from next week.

TUI and Jet2 are already using the facility but on Saturday they wer joined by Singapore Airlines.

Tuesday will see Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways and Brussels airlines will start flying from Terminal 2.

These will be followed by airBaltic and Ethiopian who make the switch on the 21st and. 22nd July respectively.

Anyone due to fly with these carries after their move dates should use Terminal and any extras such as priority security and lounge access will automatically be transferred over.

Karen Smart, Managing Director of Manchester Airport, said: “Last week was such a huge and poignant milestone in Manchester Airport’s 83-year history as we opened our new Terminal Two extension.

“As the Government continues to cautiously lift the lid on international travel restrictions, and gives more freedom to double vaccinated passengers, its great to see more of our airline partners resume services, increase frequencies and move across to their new home in Terminal Two.

“Not only will opening the new terminal help with our Covid-19 recovery, as passenger demand hopefully increases as more countries are added to the green list, but it will also give our customers the best experience as they jet off on their holidays.

“We understand many people haven’t flown in a long time due to the pandemic, but I’d like to reassure all our customers as we continue to implement the highest quality Covid-19 safety measures across Manchester Airport.”
