The UK’s leading regional airline Loganair (LM/LOG) is celebrating carrying almost 7.5 million passengers by offering passenger’s free fare upgrades to its premium Fly Flex ticket.

Loganair has carried almost 7.5 million passengers since 2017 which is when started operating as a fully independent airline under its own brand with the termination of its Flybe franchise.

Since then it has grown to become a crucial airline for UK connectivity, particularly in the Scottish highlands and islands.

To celebrate this, passengers booking flights between today and the 9th of July 2025 can get a complimentary upgrade to Fly Flex which unlocks of a range of benefits including increased hold luggage allowance from 15kg to 23kg, plus a 6kg cabin bag and a handbag, giving passengers up to 29kg of total baggage.

Loganair estimates this means it will carry around an extra 7.5 tonnes of passenger baggage for free.

Other benefits include standard seat selection and the ability to make changes to the ticket, even on the day of travel, without extra charges.

There is also a boost for Avios points collecters with 650 Avios per flight being earned as opposed to the standard 410.

Luke Lovegrove, Chief Commercial Officer at Loganair, said: “At Loganair, we understand the value of flexibility and comfort when flying – and we’re excited to launch this popular promotion again this year.

“By giving our customers a free upgrade, we’re not only providing additional benefits but also delivering over seven and a half tonnes of free luggage allowances across our network.”

Luke added: “We have carried almost 7.5 million customers since Loganair was relaunched under its own brand in 2017, so we thought it fitting to celebrate with a promotional give-away to our valued customers. Whether you’re heading to the Highlands and Islands or jetting to or from major cities like Manchester, Edinburgh or London, this is the perfect time to book ahead for a summer break.”
