Leading UK regional airline Loganair (LM/LOG) has made a number of high level appointments as it looks to build on its existing success.

Farrah Malik, formerly of easyJet and John Lewis, is appointed as the airlines interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) following the departure of Chris Gemmell. An expert in commercial finance and revenue management, Farrah has over 20 years experience in senior leadership.

A new Head of Government & Corporate Affairs has also been appointed by the airline with Simon McNamara joining Loganair from the 1st September. Simon has an impressive career in the regional airline industry including a recent role at Heart Aerospace, a company that is looking to electrify regional air travel.

Both appointments come at a time when Loganair is working hard to excel in operational performance, something that is backed up by Loganair being crowned as the UK’s most punctual airliner for the 2nd quarter of 2025 with 86% of the airlines flights leaving on time.

Luke Farajallah, CEO, Loganair said: “Since the introduction of several transformative initiatives in early 2024, the performance of the airline has gone from strength to strength. We are very proud to be named the UK’s most punctual airline for the 2nd quarter in 2025, with 86% of all Loganair flights departing within 15 minutes of the scheduled time.

“This is a very exciting time for our business with our additional base in Southampton now only months away. To support this growth, we are delighted to welcome Farrah and Simon to our senior team. Both are highly experienced operators and will support our team in delivering the exceptional service that we have become known for.

“This is an exciting time as we expand our operations and reshape the business to continue our success story for years to come.”

Loganair has also achieved the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) registration. A prestigious award that recognises Loganair’s work in delivering the highest safety standards and opens up new opportunities for international partnerships.
