The first date has officially been announced for the new Air Race World Championship which begins later this year.
Goodwood Racecourse has been announced as the first venue and the air race will take place over the weekend of 9th & 10th July.
The new series features many familiar names to those that followed the series predecessor, the Red Bull Air Race, including Britains’ Ben Murphy, Matt Hall, Martin Sonka and Mika Brageot.
French pilot Melanie Astles also joins the new series and will be the first woman to participate in the top-tier of an air race series.
