Air Côte d’Ivoire, the national airline of of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, has taken delivery of its first Airbus A330neo.
The aircraft, registered as TU-TRG, is the first of two A330-900 widebody airlines that the airline has ordered from the European OEM.
It is configured in a four-class cabin layout with four First , 44 Business, 21 Premium Economy and 173 in Economy class.
Air Côte d’Ivoire currently serves 22 destinations across Africa and the A330-900 fleet will play a key role in Air Côte d’Ivoire’s expansion plans in to Europe, starting with the Paris, France.
The airline also has plans to operates flights to the Middle-East and North America.
On the delivery flight from Toulouse to Abidjan the aircraft also transported five tonnes of humanitarian goods, including materials and school supplies.
This was the airline’s third goodwill flight and was coordinated with the Airbus Foundation and supported by Aviation Sans Frontières, who provided the donations.
