Airbus has delivered the first of four A321XLR single-aisle airliners to Uzbekistan’s Qanot Sharq, one of the countries leading privately owned passenger airlines.

The aircraft has been financed by Air Lease who have placed the A321XLR on a long-term lease.

Powered by two CFM LEAP-1A engines, the A321XLR is capable of flying up to 4,700nm carrying up to 190 passengers in a two-class layout.

Like all Airbus A3XX family aircraft, the wings for this A321XLR were made in the UK at Airbus’ wing manufacturing facility in Broughton, North Wales.
