Extra Flights for Italy v Wales 6 Nations clash

The first 6 Nations weekend of 2017 will see a host of extra flights take Welsh rugby fans to Rome to watch Wales play the Azzurri in 2 weeks time (Italy v Wales Feb 5th 2017).

Wales will be looking to kick their 6 Nations campaign off with a win in Rome and around 3,600 fans are expected to make the trip.

Cardiff Airport say there will be 40 extra movements on February 5th with aircraft from Vueling, Thomson and Jet2 operating special charters.

Special charter flights will also operate 15 extra movements for the Scotland v Wales game in Edinburgh (25th February) with Entrair and Carpatair & Vueling for France v Wales in Paris (18th March).

Cardiff Airports Commercial Director, Spencer Birns said: “Rugby is a huge part of Welsh culture and we’re proud to play our part and fly the flag for Wales all year round.”
