Brazilian airframer Embraer has been showing off its latest variant of the popular E-Jet series, the E190-E2, at Manchester airport.

The E190-E2 is being shown off in its shark livery, nicknamed “Profit Hunter” to airlines looking for regional jets to replace existing fleets, or expand fleets.

The E2 variant of the E190 features an enhanced wing design helping to extend the range of the medium range single-aisle airline.

It can carry up to 114 passengers, in a single class configuration, across distances up to 3,250nm.

It is also highly fuel efficient offering a saving 17.3% on the fuel burn compared to previous models. This is largely thanks to the Pratt & Whitney geared turbofan.

Profit Hunter (PR-ZGQ) has been carrying our demonstration flights from Manchester Airport (MAN/EGCC) in order to allow decision makers the chance to see the aircraft in action from on board.
