Algerian national carrier Air Algerie has placed a firm order seven wide body airliners whose wings and engines are made in the UK.
The order consists of five Airbus A330-900neo and two A350-1000XWB aircraft to help the airline meet its transcontinental ambitions.
The A330neo alongside the A350-1000 will see Air Algerie benefit from operational savings including a 25 percent lower fuel burn per seat compared to models it replaces.
Both aircraft are powered by Derby, England made Rolls-Royce engines, the Trent 7000 on the A330 and the Trent XWB on the A350.
The wings are made in Broughton, North Wales.
