Aer Lingus, irelands flag carrier, is moving flights between Manchester to Ireland to Terminal 2 from Tuesday the 16th of September.

The move brings all Aer Lingus operations from Manchester Airport under one roof and follows a transformation programme on the terminal carried out by the airport.

Passengers should be be aware that as of tomorrow, all flights with Aer Lingus to Dublin and Belfast City, which are operated by Emerald Airlines, will depart from Terminal 2 along with the transatlantic flights that are already operated from Terminal 2.

Some of the advantages of the move, along with the convenience of being all under one-roof, include self-check kiosks, free wifi and charging stations and a wider selection shops and places to eat.

Susanne Carberry, Aer Lingus Chief Customer Officer, said: “Aer Lingus customers flying between Manchester and the island of Ireland will enjoy enhanced comfort and convenience at Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport, which is equipped with everything they need to start and finish their trips in the best possible way.

“This move is particularly beneficial for customers from Manchester and the North of England who wish to connect through Dublin Airport to Aer Lingus’ wide network of transatlantic destinations – including Cancún, Nashville, Indianpolis, Denver and Las Vegas.

“For flights to the US, Dublin Airport’s convenient preclearance facility means that customers can simply collect their bags when they land and be on their way.”

Passengers flying to North American destinations via Dublin will still be able to pre-clear US immigration at Dublin Airport.
